The United States Geological Survey reported that a Magnitude 5.4 earthquake with the epicenter 10 kilometers east northeast of San Remigio town in Antique.
The tremor was also felt in the province and city of Iloilo and on Boracay Island at the northern tip of Panay Island as well as Negros Occidental.
Witnesses said the buildings shook for 30 seconds and again for a shorter time on both islands.
No power interruption was reported in Antique and Iloilo.
