ILOILO City, June 25 (PNA)-– President Benigno Aquino III will visit Iloilo this coming Friday, June 27, Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor, Sr. announced Wednesday.
Defensor said the President is coming upon the invitation of Senate President Franklin Drilon to inaugurate various projects in Iloilo.
These projects include the widened Diversion Road or formally known as Sen. Benigno Aquino Jr. Avenue and Iloilo River Esplanade, both in Mandurriao district here and the 14-kilometer Iloilo Circumferential Road.
President Aquino will also lead the turn-over of 1,000 housing units in the city’s relocation site in Brgy. Lanit, in Jaro district here to informal settlers of the city.
Defensor said the President may announce also the naming of Iloilo City to Iloilo International Airport highway to Senator Benigno Aquino Highway and the Iloilo Circumferential Road after his mother, President President Corazon Aquino. (PNA)
