THOUSANDS of job vacancies, both domestic and international, are up for grabs in the coming Jobs Fair on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Provincial Capitol lobby.

The Jobs Fair, which is organized by the Public Employment Services Office (Peso) Iloilo province, is in line with the 112th Semana sang Iloilo celebration.

Peso-Iloilo manager Francisco Heler Jr. said around 40 agencies and establishments would place their desks and interview job applicants during the day-long activity.

He said among the jobs available are: Delivery Personnel, Accountants, Call Center Agents, Graphic Artists, Barista, Kitchen steward, Production crew, Engineers, Baby Sitters, Family Drivers, Nurses, Domestic Helpers, Marketing Officers, among others.

Heler suggested to interested job applicants to be in their proper attire when they come to the venue.

He also reminded the job seekers to bring the necessary documents for easy reference in case needed by the employers.

Peso-Iloilo has already helped hundreds of job applicants find employment locally and abroad.

A similar Jobs Fair held in December 2012 was able to deploy many workers abroad and has provided local companies with workers they needed.

The 112th Semana sang Iloilo, to be held from April 8 to 12, is an annual celebration in commemoration of the foundation anniversary of Iloilo province.

Also part of the celebration is the holding of the “Run for a Cause” on Tuesday, April 9. The run will start at 5:45 a.m., while the route will start from Iloilo Sports Complex and will end at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol grounds.

According to the organizers, the registration is at the 2nd floor of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, with a registration fee of P100. Proceeds will be donated to the Iloilo Development Center for Women and Children. (PR)
