ILOILO CITY, Mar 25 (PNA)–Antique Board Member Victor Condes said that the energization of the 8MW Villasiga I hydropower by next month is a welcome development which would help meet power supply in the province.
Condez further said that this could attract more investors to come to Antique with the stable electricity and reduced cost of electricity.
Sunwest Vice President for Engineering Mariano C. Caliva, in previous interview, said that the energization of the P1.8 billion Villasiga I hydropower constructed in Brgy. Igsoro, Bugasong, Antique is set this April.
He further said that the power generated would be supplied to the towns in Antique through the Antique Electric Company (Anteco) and the Panay grid.
The project construction was started in 2007 yet with the access road and then installation of other facilities.(PNA)
