One of the most popular and frequented spots in the city is the La Paz District Plaza. It’s also one of the most sought after places for people who seek to relax, keep fit and tour.
Located at the corner of Burgos and Huervana Streets, the La Paz District Plaza has a land area of about 350 square meters. Located on one side of the park is the tennis court where regular lessons and games are usually held either in the morning or in the afternoon. Here, people come watch, play or learn the basics of the sport. If you want to enrol your kid in Tennis, there are some instructors available.
Placed near the pond, the La Paz Plaza Gazebo is the perfect place to relax and watch the colourful fishes. Around the gazebo, there are benches where people can stay. Unfortunately, fishing and swimming are not anymore permitted. The La Paz District Plaza also has basketball inside a covered gym. The open field is used for both soccer matches and open air concerts.
The La Paz Stage is located right beside the tennis court. Here, many activities such as concerts, rallies and other crowded events are held. Though small, the stage is made of solid concrete that could last for a long time.
In La Paz Plaza, there is a mix of sports, recreational sports and relaxation. These amenities have certainly made the plaza one of the most popular parks in the city.
