ILOILO CITY, May 4 (PNA) — The national government has poured in some P10 billion worth of infrastructure support to this city not to mention the P100 million that was directed for various anti-poverty projects.

This was underscored by Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog during the recent unity walk here that saw the convergence of the labor force from the government and the private sector.

In his message, he said that Ilonggos should always be thankful to President Benigno C. Aquino III, Senate President Franklin Drilon and Interior Secretary Mar Roxas for their support.

The mayor said that the allocations have been instrumental in providing jobs to Ilonggos who were the focus of the Labor Day celebration last week.

As tribute to the labor force, Mabilog signed the documents increasing the loyalty pay of regular employees at the city hall as well as for their mid-year bonus and cash gifts.

He also announced that this month, job hires will have additional three days in their regular working days. (PNA)
