ILOILO CITY, March 26 (PNA) — The recruitment for Police Officer 1s (PO1s) continues as the Police Regional Office (PRO 6) expects to meet its 873 recruitment quota before the year ends.

The PO1 recruitment program started March 24 and will culminate in an oath-taking ceremony of applicants who make the cut May 30.

PRO 6 Director C/Supt. Josephus Angan said interested applicants may submit their applications to the Regional Human Resources and Development Division and undergo initial screening.

The deadline for the submission of application forms is slated March 31 for the first recruitment cycle.

The PRO 6 presently expects to recruit at least 873 PO1s to cover last year’s unfilled slots (70), this year’s regular quota (415), and the attrition quota (388), according to the Regional Public Information Office.

The unfilled 2013 quota will be filled-up first to be followed with the 2014 regular quota and the 2014 attrition quota, it added.

On top of the PO1 recruitment, the PRO 6 also intends to hire at least 630 non-uniformed personnel for its police stations and offices in the province and city of Iloilo, Bacolod City, Aklan, Antique, Negros Occidental, Guimaras, and Capiz. (PNA)
